Performer Flying

Flying 1st Class - Performer Flying offer both hired performer flying systems for theatrical shows to displays for events. The Performer Flying systems can be installed quickly and easily in a wide variety of situations. Working together with the artist, a good operator can create fluid flight sequences, realistic hangings, swimming effects, falls and anything else the creative team can dream up. We can choreograph pieces in shows for you and train operators. It's a magical effect for any show, whether it's a straight lift, pendulum or tracked flying, allowing for movement through two dimensions - the performer can fly up/down and also across the stage or performance area in line with the track. The performer can be flown either on a single line or twin line depending on your requirements.

Tracked Systems

Tracked Systems are the most versatile type of flying system. Tracked systems provide controlled horizontal (along the axis of the track) and vertical movement of the performer. The system can be fitted with either twin wire or single wire to the performer depending on your requirements.

​

Straight Lift Systems

Straight lift Systems are used when a performer only needs to ascend or descend vertically. They are common used for angels, ghost effects (A Christmas Carol), and sometimes in ballet or dance productions. Most straight lifts are rigged as a twin wire system to provide stability for the performer while in flight, but can also be on a single wire when required.

Pendulum System 

Simple single wire pendulum systems are the simplest type of flying system. They don't allow the control of a tracked system and do also require more height in the venue. 

​
